As usual it’s ironic that I find my dream job offer…finally…but of course I can’t apply. I read thru the whole “job description” and I fit the bill to the letter.

Can I stroll the white sands, soak up the sun, snorkel the reef? Check

Can I report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates? Double Check

Can I be an excellent communicator and be able to speak and write English? Duh, Triple Check

I’d be perfect for the job….except for the whole being a mommy issue. I feel like this is the story of my life…to almost make it…always almost. Shyt, when will it be exactly?!

What is he thinking? How can taking away a place for people to gain and share knowledge be a good thing? And how is remaking them into ”knowledge centers” going to save money? I mean don’t you have to pay for the running of the ”knowledge centers” and pay the ”knowledge centers” staff? Is that really a cost effective  solution?

If this goes thru then it might start a business model for other state to do the same. I hope not cause I can’t see not having a real library within the new york area. I would go thru some serious book withdrawal. Makes me think I should hurry up and get either a library degree or a archivist degree.  Then I can horde all the books and information knowledge I can get my hands on for the next generation. I worry they will be so high tech and they won’t remember how things were once very simple.
